Hunter Rebirth

The Old Ways of the Hunt
──── ✦ ────

Not all who stalk the wilds are Rangers, and not all who live by the bow swear themselves to the ancient orders. Hunters are something older.

Long before cities raised stone walls and before kingdoms drew borders on maps, there were those who survived by reading the land like scripture. They learned the silent language of broken twigs, displaced dust, and the fear carried on the wind. To them, the wilderness was not a home—it was a battlefield.

Hunters do not worship nature. They respect it, and they use it. A Hunter's strength is not in a single weapon, but in the ability to adapt instantly: arrow, blade, throwing steel, and spells. They weaken their prey with ritual marks and subtle magic, then press the advantage with ruthless precision. A Hunter doesn't win by brute force—they win by making the fight unfair.

Some say Hunters were first trained by ancient scouts who tracked horrors that even armies couldn't face. Others believe they originated from forgotten tribes who learned to mimic predators so perfectly that the spirits of the hunt began answering them. Those spirits still answer.

Through a rare discipline known as the Illusions of the Hunt, Hunters can take on the forms of a variety of beasts—not as tricks of glamour, but as temporary transformations that grant real power. Each form alters the Hunter's instincts, their combat rhythm, and the way they tear down their target.

A Hunter does not chase glory. They chase the kill.
