Perkycrew Server Guide & FAQ

Server Guide Updated: July 2026
Current level cap: 54. This guide includes the current AA Script process, Rebirth, Spell Mastery, Spell Combos, Difficulty Tokens, World Events, Dynamic Hotzones, Seasonal Characters, and current progression notes.

Welcome to the Perkycrew EverQuest Server! Perkycrew is a custom, solo/duo-friendly EQEmu server built around classic EverQuest progression with custom systems, stronger item progression, unique raid targets, Rebirth, multiclass-style AA choices, and modernized end-game goals. The current maximum level is 54.

New Player Quick Start

  • Current level cap: 54.
  • Spells and disciplines: most can be purchased in the Plane of Knowledge Library.
  • AA Scripts: right-click your AA Scripts first to convert them into Alternate Currency.
  • Claiming AA: after right-clicking your scripts, speak with Mystic Terinuld in the Nexus to claim the AA.
  • Epics matter: original Epics are enabled and can evolve into stronger versions.
  • Gear upgrades: many wearable items follow the path Base → Enhanced → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythical → Rebirth.
  • Instances: Braxter NPCs throughout Norrath can create custom instances, including Rebirth instances where available.
  • End-game systems: Spell Mastery, Spell Combos, Difficulty Tokens, World Events, Hotzones, Seasonal Characters, and Rebirth all add progression beyond normal leveling.

How Do I Get AA?

AA is currently earned through script items that are converted into Alternate Currency. To use them, first right-click your AA Script. This adds the appropriate Alternate Currency to your character. After that, visit Mystic Terinuld in the Nexus to claim the AA from that currency. Mystic Terinuld may also be available in the Guild Hall. The Mystic Terinuld in Plane of Knowledge handles AA resets and other unlock-related services.

Different script tiers support different stages of progression, including Script of Lost Memories, Script of Planar Power, Script of Morell's Memories, and Rebirth-focused scripts. Rebirth scripts are especially useful after you begin running Rebirth instances and dungeons, as they can help you rebuild AA quickly after a Rebirth.

Useful AA Commands #aacopy <name> saves your current AA build. #aacopy confirm <name> overwrites an existing saved build. #aalist lists saved builds. #aarelearnlist <name> previews a saved build, and #aarelearn <name> relearns it. Use #aarelearn confirm if confirmation is required.

What Makes Perkycrew Different?

Legendary & Mythical Gear Many wearable items can drop in upgraded tiers, making old zones and quest rewards exciting again.
Spell Mastery Spells, heals, and disciplines can gain additional power and effects through repeated use and mastery progression.
Spell Combos Certain spell, discipline, and ability sequences can trigger special combo effects once discovered.
Rebirth Reset and rebuild your character with class-specific AA choices, Rebirth rewards, and end-game Rebirth content.
World Events Server-wide and zone-based events can spawn invasions, bosses, and reward active participants.
Dynamic Hotzones Rotating hotzones provide bonus experience and loot incentives across different parts of Norrath.
Difficulty Tokens Players can choose harder content for better rewards and increased challenge.
Seasonal Characters Seasonal progression offers special rules, rewards, and a separate challenge path.

Rules

You may box up to six characters plus one Bazaar character. The server is designed around a solo/duo experience, so boxing a full group may make some content easier than intended. MQ2 and similar tools are allowed, but you must be at your computer while using any third-party program. Warping, hacking, speed hacking, or fast travel beyond normal EverQuest methods is not allowed. Be kind, have fun, and respect other players. Rule-breaking can result in a ban and character removal.

Starting Out

Most spells and disciplines can be acquired in the Plane of Knowledge Library, including many custom class abilities. New characters begin with several zero-cost AAs, so check your General AA tab when you start.

Several custom class spells and spell augments are earned throughout Norrath rather than purchased from vendors. One or more class spell rewards can be found through Beast Domain, Meldrath's Mansion, Morell's Castle, and the Rebirthed Jungle zones accessed through the Oracle.

Useful Character Commands #mystats shows a detailed stat preview. !petstats shows pet stats and equipped pet items. !effects lists worn, focus, and click effects. !forceworn restarts worn effect casting. !explock toggles experience gain. /changepetname renames your current pet.

There is a patcher in the welcome section where you can download required server files. A fresh RoF2 install zip is also available there if needed. Experience loss on death is enabled, but corpse runs are not required.

Progression Guide

You can generally follow familiar Classic through Planes of Power leveling paths, with custom adjustments and extra raid targets placed throughout the world. Some normal flag requirements are changed; speak to the turtle and other server NPCs near the Plane of Knowledge building for flagging information.

  • Levels 1-20: Learn your class, collect early upgrades, and expect some danger while you build power.
  • Levels 20-35: Legendary gear becomes more common and can significantly improve your character.
  • Level 35+: Beast Domain becomes useful for money, class spell drops, and early raid targets.
  • Levels 37-45: Meldrath's Mansion is a strong progression option, especially the first floor at first.
  • Levels 50-54: Planar zones, Morell's Castle, Veeshan's Peak, custom raids, augments, events, and Rebirth preparation become major goals.

At higher levels, enemies have a better chance to drop strong augments and AA scripts. Morell's Castle, Meldrath's Mansion, Veeshan's Peak, and planar zones are similar in overall difficulty but reward different item types. Having strong defensive stats, especially shielding, is recommended before pushing deep into these areas.

Equipment Upgrades

Equipment progression follows a consistent upgrade path throughout the server: Base → Enhanced → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythical → Rebirth. While many wearable items can upgrade naturally, raid targets have a much heavier weighting toward Epic and Legendary equipment, making raid encounters one of the best ways to push your character forward.

Upgrade strength also increases by expansion. A Legendary item from a later expansion will usually receive larger stat gains than a Legendary item from an earlier expansion, even when the base item level is similar. If random drops are not going your way, an Upgrade NPC in Plane of Knowledge can upgrade most equipment that has a valid upgrade path for platinum. Augments and Class Epic items are not part of this normal upgrade path.

Important NPCs

Epics, Alternate Epics, and Item Evolution

Original Epic quests are enabled and their rewards have been substantially upgraded. Original Epic items can evolve into 1.5 and 2.0 versions through the evolution system. Use the Evolution tab or right-click the item where applicable. It is safest to remove augments before evolving an item.

The custom Epic quest begins with Tierna Morganna the Spellweaver. Take notes or screenshots as you progress, because some steps require specific tokens or follow-up turn-ins. Custom Epic rewards occupy a different slot than original Epics, so both can remain useful. Do not try to upgrade Epic items through normal item-upgrade merchants unless the system specifically supports that Epic.

Items, Loot, and Difficulty

Nearly any wearable item can appear as the base item or as an Enhanced, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, or Rebirth version. Quests may also reward upgraded items. If you receive an upgraded quest item that must be turned in as its base form, visit Daraleect the Disenchanter in Plane of Knowledge.

Useful Loot Commands #advloot opens the server autoloot help window. In the Guild Hall, use !selladd or !sellremove while an item is on your cursor to manage your autosell list, then target a merchant and use !autosell.
Useful Mythical Commands In the Guild Hall, use !mythicaladd, !mythicalremove, and !mythicallist to manage your Mythical Roll list. !mythicalroll consumes 10 Mythical items from your inventory and creates a tradeable Book of Mythical Reroll.

NPCs can become stronger when they are much higher level than you, when many enemies are attacking at once, or when your group size increases. Difficulty Tokens allow players to intentionally raise challenge and rewards. This server is tuned around solo/duo play, so larger groups may activate additional scaling to keep content from becoming trivial.

Augments & Shielding

Augments begin dropping from level 20+ NPCs. Around level 50, augment drops tend to become stronger, and the Planes of Power era contains many of the most powerful augments currently available. Meldrath's Mansion is also an important destination because it offers class spell augments and strong platinum rewards.

Shielding is one of the most important defensive stats on the server. Nearly all Shielding stats are primarily obtained from Augments and your Class Epic(s), not from random Epic-quality item drops. Players preparing for difficult end-game encounters should make Shielding, augments, and Class Epic progression a major priority.

Spell Mastery

Spell Mastery is a custom progression system that rewards repeated use of spells, heals, and disciplines. As abilities are mastered, they can gain stronger effects or additional bonuses depending on the mastery rules. A dedicated Spell Mastery page will display the full details, eligible abilities, ranks, and effects.

Spell Combos

Spell Combos reward players for discovering and using specific sequences of spells, disciplines, and abilities. Some combos may require a buff or debuff first, while others simply require the correct opening action followed by the next spell, discipline, or ability type. A dedicated Spell Combos page will display discovered and available combo information.

Useful Combat Commands #autoskill <skill> automatically uses one combat ability at a time when available. #twinslash is Warrior-only. #expertshot is Ranger-only.

World Events and Hotzones

Perkycrew features a persistent World Event system that keeps Norrath alive. Events can take the form of zone invasions, powerful world bosses, kill objectives, boss hunts, or turn-in events. Every event has its own cooldown, duration, scaling rules, and reward table, meaning there is almost always something worth hunting somewhere in the world.

Completing an event rewards everyone who contributed, with top performers often receiving additional prizes. Rewards may be delivered automatically through the parcel system, allowing you to continue playing instead of waiting for loot distribution. Many events also scale with player participation, ensuring they remain challenging whether a handful of adventurers or an entire raid force answers the call.

The new World Events page shows every configured event, the zone where it occurs, when it was last completed, and when it will next become available. This makes it easy to plan your adventures instead of guessing when your favorite invasion or boss will return.

Dynamic Hotzones rotate independently of World Events, providing bonus experience, improved loot opportunities, and encouraging players to explore different regions of Norrath throughout the day.

Useful World Commands #events displays currently active events. #hotzone shows the currently active hotzones.

Rebirth System

Rebirth is live and is one of the server's major end-game systems. Visit the Rebirth NPC in Plane of Knowledge to begin. Characters must be at least level 54 and meet the AA requirement to Rebirth. There are currently up to three Rebirths.

Rebirth allows you to select class-specific AA access from another class while keeping your original base class. You do not gain the ability to memorize another class's spells, use another class's armor type, or bypass normal item restrictions simply because of Rebirth. Shared AAs are handled carefully so that Rebirth focuses on class-specific identity.

When you Rebirth, your AA is refunded and a percentage is returned based on your Rebirth count. You also gain access to Rebirth-specific progression, including Rebirth instances and dungeons. These areas are more dangerous, scale to your level when created, often do not respawn, and can reward Mythical gear and Rebirth-focused AA scripts.

Rebirth class re-selection is also available, allowing you to adjust your build and try new class combinations. After level 50, re-selecting a Rebirth class only costs one level instead of returning you all the way to level 1.

Seasonal Characters

Seasonal Characters are a separate challenge path with special rules, rewards, and progression goals. Seasonal systems may include unique restrictions, reward tracking, and seasonal bonuses. Check the dedicated Seasonal information when a season is active so you understand the current rule set.

Website Tools

The Perkycrew website contains several tools that are useful while playing. Use Item Search to plan gear farms, Spell Search to look up abilities, NPC Search to track enemies, and the dedicated pages for Spell Mastery, Spell Combos, World Events, Heroic Stats, Lore, and Player Commands to understand the custom systems.

If one of your characters becomes stuck, use the Character Mover tool available on the website to move that character to a safer location.
